Okay, here is my blog post about my experience creating a Perfect Copy of the Fendi White Zucca Mini Mon Tresor Bag.
So, I saw this Fendi White Zucca Mini Mon Tresor Bag online, and I thought, “I can make that!” I mean, it’s a cute bag, but it is way too expensive. I’ve got some sewing skills, and I love a good challenge, so I decided to go for it and try to recreate it myself.
First, I gathered all my materials. This was a bit of a hunt, to be honest. I needed white canvas fabric, something similar to what Fendi uses. I also needed brown leather for the trim and the drawstring, plus some gold-colored hardware, like the rings and the logo thingy. I found some decent fabric at a local store, and the leather was a bit tougher, but I managed to snag some scraps online that were perfect.

- Gold-colored logo piece
- Thread, needles, sewing machine… the usual stuff
Next, I started with the pattern. This took a lot of looking at the pictures of the Fendi bag, and I drafted a bunch of designs until I got it right. I made a test version out of some scrap fabric, just to make sure the shape was correct. It looked pretty good, so I moved on to the real fabric.

Then I cut out the canvas pieces and started sewing. It was a bit tricky getting the curves right, especially around the bottom, but I managed it somehow. The seams are not perfect, but I like that. I don’t like those perfect stitches, they looks unnatural, like made by machines. I sewed the whole canvas part first. After I made the main part, I moved on to the leather parts.
I measured and cut the leather for the trim and the drawstring. The leather was a bit tough to work with. I attached the trim to the top of the bag, which was also a bit tricky, but I got it done by hand-stitching it carefully. And I threaded the drawstring through the top, and added the gold rings to the sides.
The last step was the Fendi logo. I found a small, gold-colored piece that looked similar enough and attached it to the front. Voila! My Fendi-inspired bag was done! It’s not exactly the same, but it’s pretty darn close, and I made it myself!
It took me a while, a few weekends, actually. But I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine. It was a fun project, and I learned a lot. Maybe I’ll try making another designer bag sometime. Who knows?
