Okay, so, I’ve been wanting this Remake PRADA Small Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag for a while now. I finally decided to remake it by myself.

First, I went out and got myself some really good Saffiano leather. It’s a bit tough to work with, but it gives that cool, textured look, you know? I also picked up some strong thread and the right kind of needles. This part took a little time, making sure I got the right stuff.

Then, I carefully studied some pictures of the bag, paying close attention to all the details, like the size, the pockets, and that little Prada logo. I even watched a few videos online of people showing off their real Prada bags, just to get a better feel for it. I spent a whole afternoon just doing this, believe it or not. It’s a pretty simple design but you also need to be careful.

Next, I started cutting out the leather. This was the scariest part because you can’t really go back once you cut. I used a pattern that I put together, but I was still super careful. I double and triple-checked every measurement before cutting. It is very important.

  • Sewing the pieces together was a real challenge. I mean it. Saffiano leather is thick, and getting the stitches neat and even took a lot of patience. I messed up a few times and had to redo some parts. My fingers were pretty sore after all that sewing, I tell you.
  • After that, I worked on the handles and the little details like the inside pockets and the zipper. This took a while too, but it was kind of fun, seeing it all come together. I learned a lot during this process.

The last thing was putting on the Prada logo. I found a similar one from my friend. I carefully attached it to the front, and boom, it was done!

The Result

It looks pretty darn close to the real Small Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag, at least to me. I’m really happy with how it turned out. It’s not perfect, of course, but I made it myself, and that’s what counts. Plus, I saved a ton of money! If you are thinking about doing something like this, I say go for it. It’s a lot of work, but totally worth it in the end.
