- Case: The case was another challenge. I wanted that rose gold look, just like the original 5227R-001. It took some time, but I found a case that matched the dimensions and the look. I tried to make sure it looked like the real deal.
- Dial and Hands: For the dial, I went with a simple, clean design. White background, simple markers. The hands were a bit delicate, but I managed to find some that looked just right.
Putting it all together was like solving a puzzle. I had to be real careful not to mess anything up. I spent hours, maybe even days, just tinkering with it. There were moments when I thought I’d bitten off more than I could chew. But I kept at it, driven by this weird desire to see it through.
The Result
And you know what? After all that sweat and tears, I finally did it. I made my own version of the Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227R-001. It’s not perfect, mind you.
