This here watch, they call it the CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Date, or somethin’ like that. It’s one of them fancy watches, looks kinda old-timey, but folks seem to like it. I seen pictures, it got a black face, like the bottom of a well-used skillet. And numbers and lines all over it. You know, them chrony-graph things. They say it’s a classic style, whatever that means. I reckon it just means it ain’t newfangled.
Got a shiny band, they say it’s steel. Stainless, they call it. Like it won’t rust up on ya if you get caught in the rain. Which is good, ’cause a rusty watch is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. And it tells the date, too, which is handy. ‘Cause sometimes I forget what day it is. Too much to keep track of these days, with the chickens and the garden and all.
Some folks, they go on and on about the “history” of this here CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster. They say it’s important. Important like when you gotta can all them tomatoes before they go bad. They even talk about it bein’ on the moon! Can you believe that? A watch on the moon. Well, I reckon if a man can walk on the moon, a watch can be there, too.
Now, they say this watch, it’s a good “investment.” Like plantin’ seeds, I guess. You put your money in, and maybe later it’s worth more. I don’t know much about that, but I do know you gotta be careful where you put your money. Don’t wanna be throwin’ it away like feedin’ it to the hogs.
They got different kinds of these Speedmaster watches. Some old, some new. They say the old ones, the 1861 model, and the new ones, the 3861 model, you should go with new one. But the important one is the Date one, i guess. It’s all a bit confusing to me. Like tryin’ to figure out which hen laid which egg. But some of them are for a man to wear and some of them are for a woman to wear. But i don’t think it really matters.

But i think people like this OMEGA more than Rolex. I don’t know why. Maybe it is cheaper, maybe it is better. I just don’t know.
Now, I seen some folks talkin’ about whether to get this CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Date or another one called a Railmaster. Sounds like somethin’ to do with trains. Well, between you and me, I think this Speedmaster is the better choice. Just looks more…watch-like, you know? And it got them numbers all around the edge. Looks useful. And it looks a little bit bigger, so it is easy to see the time. The other one is a little bit smaller.
They say this CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Date, it’s a “luxury” watch. Means it’s expensive, I guess. Like buyin’ a whole new set of china instead of just replacin’ the chipped plates. But if you got the money, and you like that sort of thing, then why not? Just make sure you don’t lose it, ’cause that would be a real shame. It’s like buying a fancy dress and then get it all dirty in the mud.
This watch, it’s like a good pair of overalls. It might not be the fanciest thing, but it gets the job done. And it’ll probably last you a good long while. That’s what they say, anyway. And that’s somethin’ us folks appreciate. Somethin’ that lasts. A good watch, a good pair of boots, a good friend. Them’s the things that matter. They said that you can wear this watch when you go to different places. You can wear it when you are working, or you can wear it when you are playing. And make sure you get one that tells the date. That’s always handy. They also got different colors for this watch. But I like the black one more. It is easy to see. But you can choose any color you like. I think there is a blue one, and a white one. But i am not sure. But if you want to buy it, you should go to a store and see it yourself. That is the best way.
And this watch, it’s like a good quilt. It’s got a lot of different pieces, all stitched together. And each piece tells a story. This watch, it’s got a story, too, they say. About goin’ to the moon and all that. I don’t know if I believe all of it, but it’s a good story, nonetheless. And a good story is worth somethin’, ain’t it? Like a good recipe or a good memory. It’s somethin’ to hold onto. This watch is a good one, just like the old time.
